Basedash launch demo 5: Integrations

The fifth launch-day demo, after variables, was about integrations. Basedash the admin panel was all about SQL databases, but with Basedash Charts, the new product, we're all about anything we want to connect (0:10). We still have the native SQL connection, so you can connect any SQL database and start querying right away, and we've added Basedash Warehouse (0:35). If you already have a warehouse in Snowflake, BigQuery or ClickHouse, you can connect it in a few minutes. If you're a smaller startup that hasn't got to the stage where you need all your data federated into a single place, we give you a warehouse when you set up Basedash (0:53).
That's prod data, like Postgres or MySQL, but also Stripe, Google Analytics, HubSpot, Zendesk and Salesforce, all dumping into one place so you can query and understand it without going to a thousand different places (1:06). One of my favorite charts is on our website dashboard, which pulls in data from Google Analytics, so I don't have to go to Google Analytics (1:32). There's stuff you'd still do there, like setting up ad campaigns, but by and large I don't have to touch it. I bring in the data I care about: average duration, bounce rate (on a lot of old data, it's a lot lower today), visitors by device type, referral sources and the top pages by views (1:49).
We also have Stripe data, for MRR, ARR and burn rate, Brex for financial stuff, and Sentry for errors, so we can see what types of errors are happening and which people and organizations are getting them most (2:08). It isn't just for prod data. It's for any data you can connect through our warehouse (2:30).
Data access is the trickiest part, which is one of the reasons we want to do white-glove onboarding (2:37). If you don't have a warehouse, we set up a managed ClickHouse database for you that you have the keys for, so you could move away from Basedash and still have it, and we help you connect your data to it and set how often it updates (2:50). When Basedash was about editing, we needed that one-to-one tie to SQL and relational databases. Warehouse connections are a little trickier at the start, but once they're set up you're not hitting prod data, you're not slowing down your users by running SQL, and you don't have to worry about longer SQL timeouts affecting their performance (3:26).
When I posted it on X I wrote:
Demo 5 - Integrations
This one is a bit wordy, so I'll give you the TLDR;
We connect to over 550 different apps.
Product data? ✅ Postgres , MySQL, MongoDB, Supabase
Financial data? ✅ Stripe, Brex , Plaid
Analytics? ✅ Mixpanel, Segment , PostHog
Marketing? ✅ Campaign Monitor , Marketo , Google Analytics
Ecommerce? ✅ Shopify Square WooCommerce
DevOps? ✅ Datadog, Sentry , Docker, AWS
If you have a warehouse, great. Setup is a snap.
If you don't, we'll help you set up a ClickHouse one as part of onboarding.
Chart and query everything in one place. Huge.
